22 January was the hottest day recorded
In Delhi, Thursday, January 22, is being considered as the hottest day of January in the last seven years. Releasing the data, the Meteorological Department has informed that the maximum temperature recorded at Safdarjung Observatory was 27.1 degrees Celsius. However, the temperature is expected to drop again in the next 24 hours.
The department said that the maximum temperature higher than this in January was last recorded in the city in 2019, when the mercury reached 28.7 degrees Celsius on January 21. The second hottest day of this month was recorded on January 19, when the maximum temperature was 26.7 degrees Celsius, while the average maximum temperature so far for January has been 20.4 degrees Celsius.
Delhi’s air is still ‘very bad’
