WPL 2026 Highlights: Delhi Capitals has become the first team to defeat Royal Challengers Bangalore in WPL 2026. Delhi has defeated RCB by 7 wickets. Thanks to the steady innings of Laura Woolworth, DC was able to register its third win of the season. In this match played in Vadodara, RCB, batting first, was all out for only 109 runs. In reply, Delhi achieved this target with 26 balls remaining.

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s batting was a complete flop in this match. Captain Smriti Mandhana scored 38 runs, apart from her no other batsman could play a big innings. Delhi Capitals bowlers wreaked havoc. Apart from Sneh Rana, all the bowlers of DC definitely took some wicket or the other.

Delhi stopped RCB’s victory chariot

RCB is the only team that has secured a place in the playoffs of WPL 2026. They had won 5 consecutive matches, but Delhi Capitals kept their playoff hopes alive by defeating them in all four matches. For Delhi team, Laura Woolworth ensured her team’s victory by playing an unbeaten inning of 42 runs. Apart from them, captain Jemimah Rodrigues returned unbeaten after scoring 24 runs and Marijan Kapp returned unbeaten after scoring 19 runs.

Let us tell you that three teams will go to the playoffs of WPL 2026. Royal Challengers Bangalore have already confirmed their place. After registering a 7-wicket win over RCB, Delhi Capitals has moved straight from fourth to second place in the points table. There is currently a competition between Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, UP Warriors and Gujarat Giants for the remaining two places in the playoff. All the teams still have two matches left.
