Prime Minister Narendra Modi today (January 25) gave a message to the countrymen in the first ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program of the year 2026. PM Modi said that this is the first ‘Mann Ki Baat’ of the year 2026. Tomorrow on 26th January we will celebrate our Republic Day. Our Constitution came into force on this day. This day of 26th January gives us an opportunity to pay tribute to the founders of our Constitution.
PM Modi said that today 25th January is also very important because today is National Voters Day. Voters are the soul of democracy. Whenever a youth becomes a voter for the first time, the entire locality, village or city should come together to congratulate him and sweets should be distributed. This will increase awareness among people about voting. After turning 18, definitely register yourself as a voter.
What did PM Modi say by mentioning Tamsa river?
Talking about rivers, PM Modi said that people have given a new life to the Tamsa river passing through Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh. This river, which originates from Ayodhya and joins the Ganga, was once the pivot of life of the people of this region, but due to pollution, its continuous flow started getting interrupted. After this the people here started a campaign to give it a new life. The river was cleaned and shady and fruit trees were planted on its banks. The local people got involved in this work with a sense of duty and with everyone’s efforts the river was revived.
Mentioned about Anantapur of Andhra Pradesh
Giving the example of Andhra Pradesh, PM Modi said that Anantapur has been facing serious problem of drought and the soil here is red and sandy. This is the reason why people have to face water shortage. To solve this problem, the local people resolved to clean the reservoirs. Then with the cooperation of the administration ‘Ananth Neeru Sanrakshanam Project’ was started here. Under this effort, more than 10 reservists have received life donation. The reservoirs have now started filling with water and along with this, more than 7000 trees have also been planted.
‘India is the world’s third largest StartUp eco-system’
PM Modi said that today the world’s third largest StartUp eco-system has been formed in India. The heroes of this amazing journey of StartUp India are our young friends. The innovations he made by going out of his comfort zone are being recorded in history. Al, Space, Nuclear Energy, Semiconductors, Mobility, Green Hydrogen, Biotechnology, you name it and one or the other Indian Startup will be seen working in that sector.
