- Dissatisfied students can now avail individual legal options.
Delhi High Court has refused to grant relief on the petition filed demanding reopening of the re-evaluation portal after the CBSE Class 12 results. The court clearly said that if any student has a complaint regarding his result or the evaluation process, then he can personally adopt the appropriate legal procedure. The court believes that reopening of the portal may affect the entire result process and further admission process.
what was the whole matter
This matter was related to the demand to restart the re-evaluation portal of class 12 answer sheets. It was said in the petition that many students have objections regarding the evaluation process and they should get a chance to apply again. Besides, in some cases manual checking and physical verification of answer sheets was also demanded.
What did the High Court say
During the hearing, the court said that the re-evaluation process has already been completed as per the schedule and starting it again will affect the entire system. The court said that this is not just a matter of a few days but it can delay the entire result and further process.
Argument of CBSE and Central Government
The court was told by the officials that a large number of students have already applied for re-evaluation and verification of answer sheets. According to the board, the process of scrutiny of lakhs of answer sheets is already going on and extending the deadline may also affect the college admission process.

Why did the students raise questions?
The petition claimed that after this year’s results, many students and parents raised questions on the digital evaluation system. Some students raised complaints like technical difficulties, scanning issues and difference in marks.
What options do students have now?
At present the High Court has not ordered to reopen the portal. However, the court said that students who have complaints at individual level can use the available legal and administrative options. The next hearing of the case can be held on a future date.
