Pakistan has now started a new drama. The Pakistan team has been announced for the 2026 T20 World Cup, but it is not yet decided whether it will play the World Cup or not. On Monday, Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. In this meeting, PM Sharif directed that Pakistan can take the final decision on the World Cup on Friday this week or Monday next week. If Pakistan boycotts the World Cup, then know here that it may have to suffer a loss of crores of rupees.

There will be a loss of Rs 966 crore

According to a report in Hindustan Times, ICC sources say that if Pakistan decides to boycott the tournament a few days before the World Cup, then it will be considered a violation of the participation agreement. The money that Pakistan receives annually from ICC will be stopped.

In fact, Pakistan Cricket Board gets 5.75 percent of ICC revenue annually, which is equivalent to approximately US$34.5 million. This amount is equivalent to approximately Rs 966 crore in Pakistani currency. This amount will not be given to Pakistan if it boycotts the World Cup.
