India’s star fast bowler Akashdeep is going to get married today. He is going to start a new innings of life with Manikpur resident Akshita Raj. Both will take seven rounds at ‘Taj Ganges’ hotel in Varanasi today. Other wedding rituals of Akashdeep, resident of Baddi village of Bihad, have been completed and today he will take seven rounds with Akshita Raj, taking Agni as witness.
Who is Akshita Raj?
Akashdeep is a resident of Baddi village in Rohtas district of Bihar. Akshita Raj, who is going to be his life partner, is a resident of Manikpur in Rohtas district of Bihar and her father’s name is Amit Kumar Singh. Akshita is from a normal family and she is having an arranged marriage with Akashdeep.
Akshita has been good in studies and has obtained BCA and MCA degrees from Birla Institute of Technology. It is said that Akshita had also got a good job offer, but due to the progress of marriage with Akashdeep, she did not take the job offer.
Let us remind you that just a few days ago, Bihar government had given the post of DSP to Akashdeep. There has been a festive atmosphere in their village for the last four days and their marriage has been kept very private, away from the glare of the media.
Team India has not been able to make a comeback
Akashdeep is suffering from a back injury, due to which he had to be ruled out of the entire IPL 2026 tournament. He was last seen playing a Test match for Team India in July 2025 against England. He has not yet debuted for the Indian team in T20 and ODI.
