An incident of rape of a one and a half year old girl has taken place in Gopalganj, Bihar. She was playing near the house. During this time the accused took him away. The victim has been admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment. The villagers caught the accused youth and beat him up. After this he was handed over to Dial-112. The incident took place in Nagar police station area.
This is the second incident in 24 hours
The arrested accused was identified as Mohammad Shariq. He is a resident of Bijnor district of UP. Works as a painter in the bike showroom of Gopalganj. This is the second incident of rape and gang rape in the city police station area in Gopalganj in the last 24 hours. The FSL team has investigated both the cases. SP Vinay Tiwari claims that the accused will be given strict punishment by running a speedy trial.
In this whole matter, a case of rape of a two year old girl by Sadar SDPO Pranjal Tripathi has come to light. The police is investigating at a rapid pace. One person has been arrested. FSL and other teams are continuously working on this. Gopalganj Police will investigate this case quickly. This case will be executed within seven days.
Before this, another girl was gang raped
Earlier, in the same city police station area of Gopalganj, another girl was held hostage and gang-raped. The accused absconded after the incident. Police have registered an FIR against two youths in the case and started action. This incident is being reported from last Sunday (January 25, 2026). In the statement given to the police, the girl has alleged that she was gang-raped by two youths. The police took the victim to Model Hospital where her medical test was done. Sadar SDPO Pranjal has said that after getting the incident investigated by the FSL team, raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
