Motorola Signature Vs Samsung S25 Ultra: The race for premium smartphones in India has now become more interesting. Motorola launched its first candybar flagship Motorola Signature on January 23, which comes with a stylish design, powerful hardware and 24×7 Signature Concierge service. Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra is already present in the market and is known for its powerful camera setup, S-Pen support and advanced Galaxy AI features. Both the phones fall in the flagship category, but which one is better to buy in 2026, let us understand in detail.
display
Motorola Signature has a 6.8-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display, which comes with 165Hz refresh rate and high peak brightness of 6,200 nits. This gives a very smooth experience to the phone. The Galaxy S25 Ultra, on the other hand, has a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz. Here Samsung focuses more on sharpness and color accuracy.
Design
In terms of design, Motorola Signature is just 6.99mm thin and has an aircraft-grade aluminum frame with a fabric-inspired Pantone finish, making the phone feel light and elegant. Whereas Galaxy S25 Ultra comes with titanium body, S-Pen slot and more rugged build which gives a feeling of strength along with premium.
Battery and Charging
Motorola Signature has a 5,200mAh battery which supports 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. In comparison, Galaxy S25 Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery but the charging speed is limited to 45W wired and 15W wireless. For those who want fast charging, Motorola takes the lead here.
camera setup
All three rear cameras in Motorola Signature are 50MP with periscope lens and support for 8K video recording. This camera setup focuses on consistent output. The identity of Galaxy S25 Ultra is its 200MP main camera which is supported by 50MP ultra-wide and telephoto lenses. There is a 12MP camera in the front for selfie and video calling. Samsung is still more attractive for photography enthusiasts.
Processor and performance
Motorola Signature has the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset which comes with up to 16GB of RAM and focuses on high-end performance. The Galaxy S25 Ultra comes with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor that is optimized for AI-driven tasks and long-term stability along with 12GB of RAM.
color options
Motorola Signature is available in two special Pantone finishes Carbon and Martini Olive which give a sophisticated and unique look. Whereas Galaxy S25 Ultra has more color options like Titanium Black, Silver Blue, Gray and White Silver.
Security and Protection
Standard flagship security features like in-display fingerprint sensor have been provided in Motorola Signature. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is a step ahead in this regard with Samsung Knox, IP68/IP69 rating, long security updates and on-device AI privacy controls.
Software and Updates
Motorola Signature comes with Android 16 and promises seven years of Android and security updates along with Moto AI features. The Galaxy S25 Ultra also runs on Android 16 based One UI 8.0/8.5 and also gets advanced Galaxy AI features along with seven years of OS and security updates.
price
Talking about the price, the starting price of Motorola Signature has been kept at Rs 59,999, which makes it quite competitive in the premium segment. Whereas the launch price of Galaxy S25 Ultra was Rs 1,29,999 and currently it is available around Rs 1,07,000, due to which it clearly falls in the ultra-premium category.
