Many workers are buried under the debris in this accident. At the same time, 21 people have been rescued from this debris. Of these, 18 have been injured. At the same time, 3 people have died.

CM said that my grief over the precious lives lost in this tragedy cannot be expressed in words. My deepest condolences to the families of the victims. In this very sad time, the state government stands firmly with them and we will provide them all possible help. At present, rescue and relief operations are going on war footing. Army, NDRF, SDRF, Kolkata Police and KMC are jointly carrying out rescue operations so that every laborer trapped in the debris can be brought out safely as soon as possible. I wish for the speedy recovery of the injured.
