On the occasion of Holi, many people who live away from their homes go back to their homes. Many people from Bihar participate in these.

If going to Bihar for Holi is in your plan. So know why train seats are being booked so quickly this time and how the booking can be done. Almost two months before the festival, sleeper and reservation seats have been filled in trains going from UP, Bihar and big cities to Bihar. Due to increase in the number of passengers, special trains are being expected from the Railways. Know what is the situation now and how you can book.

What is the booking situation now?

Railway booking has become very fast two months before Holi. Most of the seats in the trains going from New Delhi to big stations like Patna, Darbhanga, Jaynagar, Prayagraj and Ranchi have been filled in sleeper and reserve class. There is a situation in many trains where neither confirmed tickets are available nor there are enough waiting tickets. Common passengers may now have to resort only to RAC tickets or special trains.

During festivals like Holi, people stay in distant cities for jobs or studies. And constantly return home before the festival. For this reason, there is huge crowd on the big routes of Bihar like Patna, Darbhanga, Saharsa, Mokama and railway tickets get exhausted quickly. There is a possibility of running some special trains by the Railways. But the same crowd is seen every year.

How to book ticket?

If you want to book a ticket to go to Bihar on Holi, then first check the availability of your trains on IRCTC website or mobile app. Reservations usually open approximately 120 days in advance. Log in to the site, select your journey date and see which trains have slots available. If you do not get a confirmed seat then it is better to choose RAC ticket. RAC gives you the right to sit in the train even if you do not get the entire seat.

Keep an eye on special trains

If you do not get seats in regular trains, then look for special trains or festival special trains run by the Railways. These are announced by IRCTC, which you will have to keep in mind. While choosing the class, keep in mind that seats can go quickly in AC coaches whereas there is some possibility in sleeper class.
