North East Delhi MP and Bhojpuri singer Manoj Tiwari said that fake Facebook IDs are being run using his name and identity. He has lodged a complaint in this matter with Delhi Police and has termed it as a well-planned conspiracy. He has registered a case at the Cyber Police Station under New Delhi District.
The BJP MP has alerted his fans and the public by posting on social media platform X on Saturday (January 31). He clarified that his official Facebook account is ‘Blue Tick’. Misleading information can be spread through fake accounts, which is an attempt to harm their image. The name of the fake account running in the name of Manoj Tiwari has been described as Monoj Tiwari BJP.

Use of Manoj Tiwari’s name and photo
In the complaint lodged by Manoj Tiwari, unauthorized use of the MP’s name, photo and video on the fake account has come to light. Misleading messages were being spread to the public through fake Facebook IDs. The BJP MP said that efforts are being made to tarnish his public image by carrying out activities through fake identities on social media.
No accused has been arrested yet
According to Manoj Tiwari, he had filed a complaint of this fraud in New Delhi on January 22 itself. He has expressed deep concern over the fact that even after several days of the complaint, the person using the fake ID has not been traced yet. Manoj Tiwari is angry as no accused has been arrested till now.
Considering the matter as a high-profile cyber crime, Delhi Police has registered a case under Section 66C (Identity Theft) of the IT Act and Section 356 (3) of the BNS. The person creating the fake account is being identified by the police.
