There has been an uproar in Rajasthan over another order of the Education Department. This controversy has erupted over the imposition of duty on government teachers in the Dharma Katha organized in Bundi district. Actually, these days a nine-day Mahayagya and Ram Katha is being organized in Bundi district and this event is non-government, in which government teachers have also been put on duty.
This event is being organized at Shri Ambika Mata Temple in Bansi area, the nine-day Mahayagya and Ram Katha is being organized by the committee of the temple. The Education Department has also put teachers of government schools on duty in the Mahayagya and Ram Katha programs organized in the temple.
Duty imposed on these 5 teachers
Now, instead of teaching children in schools, five teachers from four government schools will have to cooperate in the arrangements for Ram Katha till February 7. In this program, the duty of senior teacher Amit Vijayvargiya, teacher Bhagwati Prasad Sharma, physical teacher Mahavir Kumar Jain, assistant teacher Shyam Sundar Sharma and teacher Pankaj Kumar Sharma has been assigned.
For this, a formal order has been issued by the Block Education Officer, in which the heads of schools have been asked to relieve teachers by 7th February. The Congress Party has raised questions on this order of the Education Department.
Congress raised questions
State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara has said that the government schools of Rajasthan are already facing the shortage of 1.5 lakh teachers, hence it is completely wrong to put them on duty in religious programs. This will affect children’s education. On the other hand, there will also be attempts to polarize on religious basis.
‘It is not wrong to put teachers on duty in religious events’
The Rajasthan government has termed Congress’s objection as completely false and has, on the contrary, put it in the dock. Rajasthan Government Cabinet Minister Kanhaiyalal Choudhary says that it is not at all wrong to put teachers on duty in religious events held in the temple and in Ram Katha.
Madrassas were opened at many places during Congress rule – BJP
According to him, during the Congress rule, madrassas were opened only at various places and there was no promotion of culture. If the teachers participating in these events will know about Indian traditions and culture, they will tell it to the children. So children studying in government schools will also benefit.
Education Minister yesterday gave advice on grazing cows
Just yesterday in Rajasthan, Education and Panchayati Raj Department Minister Madan Dilawar had advised the unemployed to graze cows. It was also said that cow herders will be given an honorarium of ten thousand rupees every month. This honorarium will be given by the Panchayat Samiti
The joke over this statement of the Education Minister had not yet subsided that today a controversy has erupted over the imposition of duty on teachers of government schools in Ram Katha.
