Sanjana hears strange sounds
To save his marriage, he goes to Ooty for a holiday. During that time they stay in the same hotel where they met for the first time. With the beginning of this journey, Sanjana starts hearing strange sounds. Sanjana feels that a shadow is following her.

She tells Aditya about this. But, she thinks it is Sanjana’s illusion. Soon, with the help of a professor, Sanjana learns that a spirit wanders in the forests near the hotel, which is connected to Aditya. Later it is revealed that Aditya had an extra-marital affair with a girl named Malini.
Malini had refused to leave Aditya. However, he died in an accident. In such a situation, Aditya buried his dead body there. Now Malini’s spirit had come back to get Aditya back and destroy Sanjana. In the climax of the film, Sanjana even fights with the spirit to save her husband from death. Raaz became the third highest grossing film of 2002.
