He shared the picture of his injury through social media, in which his facial structure appeared completely distorted. The impact of the side injury was directly visible on the face of the English all-rounder.
Some media reports said that Stokes suffered this injury not while playing the match but during practice. It was also told that during practice, Stokes was standing aside and talking, when the ball suddenly hit him in the face. He could not see the ball, due to which he failed to stop the ball.

While sharing his Insta story with an injured face, Stokes jokingly wrote, “You should see the condition of the cricket ball.” Let us tell you that Stokes is out of England’s white ball setup, due to which he is not a part of England’s squad in the upcoming T20 World Cup. Let us tell you that Stokes played the 2022 T20 World Cup for England. After this, he was not included in the English team even in the last T20 World Cup of 2024.

Had injury in Ashes also
Even during the Ashes 2025-26, England’s Test captain Ben Stokes was injured. He was injured in the waist. Stokes was still recovering from his back injury but now his facial injury has increased his problems further.
