What happened in WPL 2026 finals
Batting first, Delhi Capitals made a huge score of 203 runs. Delhi captain Jemima played an amazing inning of 57 runs in 37 balls. Laura Wolvaardt (44) and Lizelle Lee (37) also played good innings.
RCB had a bad start, Grace Harris (9) was out in the second over. But Georgia Woll, who came after her, took the innings forward at a fast pace along with Smriti Mandhana. There was a partnership of 165 runs between the two for the second wicket. Georgia scored 79 runs in 54 balls with the help of 14 fours. There was some hope for Delhi after Smriti Mandhana’s wicket fell at the last moment.
Smriti Mandhana played a brilliant inning of 87 runs in 41 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 12 fours, for which she was chosen Player of the Match. Dropping the catch of Radha Yadav cost Delhi dearly, RCB achieved the target in the last over and won by 6 wickets.
