Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a joint press statement with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, said that India and Malaysia will work together in many important areas to further strengthen their relations. He clearly said that there is a plan to move forward on the basis of trust and partnership between the two countries. Prime Minister Modi said that in the field of security, India and Malaysia will together focus on fighting terrorism, sharing intelligence and strengthening maritime security. He said that both the countries will also expand defense cooperation, so that peace and stability is maintained in the region.
Prime Minister Modi further said that technology is playing a very important role in today’s times. In view of this, India and Malaysia will take forward their partnership in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital technology as well as semiconductor. Apart from this, cooperation between the two countries will also be increased in important areas like health and food security. The Prime Minister said that the CEO Forum organized today has opened new avenues of trade and investment. This will provide good opportunities to companies of both the countries to invest in each other and expand business. He said that this will also increase employment opportunities and strengthen the economy.

Emphasizing on trust, PM Modi said that through strategic trust, India and Malaysia will pave a strong path towards economic transformation. He said that this partnership will not be limited to governments only, but its benefits will reach the common people. The Prime Minister also made it clear that India wants to move towards a peaceful, secure and prosperous future with its friendly countries. This cooperation with Malaysia is part of this thinking. In the coming time, the relations between the two countries will deepen and stability and development in the Asia region will get a new direction.
