Producer Boney Kapoor has bought the Hindi remake rights of Tamil political satire film ‘Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimayil’. According to sources, Boney Kapoor saw this film in a theater in Coimbatore when he was present there at the Celebrity Cricket League. He liked the film so much that he immediately talked to the producers and decided to buy the rights.

Deal finalized in success party
After the success of the film, its success party was organized in Chennai last Friday. Boney Kapoor was also invited to this party. According to sources, there were talks between the makers of the film and Boney Kapoor regarding the remake and the deal was soon finalized.

Bonnie confirms herself
While talking to Mumbai Mirror, Boney Kapoor confirmed the purchase of the rights but did not reveal much about the further plans of the film. He said, ‘Yes, I have bought the rights of the film but beyond that I can’t say much.’ This means that now fans will have to wait for the cast and other details of the remake.

The story is fun and unique
‘Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimayil’ is a political satire based on the Panchayat and its politics of a small village. The story depicts the difficulties of a Panchayat leader who has to solve complicated events like a wedding and a funeral on the same day. He tries to maintain peace amidst family feuds, village politics and ego clashes.

Starcast of the film
Jeeva played the lead role in the Tamil film and his acting was highly praised. Together, Thambi Ramaiah, Ila Varasu and Prathana Nathan added life to the story with their acting. Now fans are excited to see what kind of twist and starcast Boney Kapoor will bring in the Hindi remake.
