Recently we spoke to Nidhi Dutta, producer of Border 2 and daughter of JP Dutta, in which she spoke openly about the film’s success, audience reactions, trolling, casting and emotions related to her father.
Nidhi says that Border is not just a film but a huge emotion, being a daughter, for her it was not just a question of living up to her father’s expectations, but it was the responsibility of respecting the feelings of every Indian.
Along with this, while talking about the success of the film, he said that people are going to the theater with their entire families, people of every age group are watching the film with the same emotion and are coming out of the theater emotionally.
Talking about the film, this time Nidhi told that adding friendship angle in the film was a risk for her, she got this idea from the real life bonding of armed forces, where there is a different connection between senior-junior and friends, the same angle became the USP of the film.
Talking about the casting, he said that Border cannot be imagined without Sunny Deol, and casting Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty was a conscious decision. On the trolling Varun received, he said that he should be appreciated after watching the film.
On the questions raised on VFX, Nidhi said that she is thankful for technology, in today’s time it was not possible to show the three forces army, navy and air force together without VFX.
