Actually, according to a recent report of Movies Singapore, the producers of ‘Ramayana’ are thinking of casting Vijay Sethupathi in the role of Vibhishana in the film. In the Hindu epic Ramayana, Vibhishana is the younger brother of Ravana, the king of Lanka. Vijay Sethupathi has now dismissed the rumors of being a part of this project. Talking to Bollywood Hungama, he said that he is not a part of ‘Ramayana’. Surprised by the rumours, he said, “No, I am not a part of this project. I don’t know where these rumors are coming from.”
About ‘Ramayana’
‘Ramayana’ directed by Nitesh Tiwari is a film based on the Hindu epic. In this upcoming film, Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Lord Ram, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Sai Pallavi will be seen in the role of Sita, the incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi. While ‘KGF’ star Yash will be seen in the role of Ravana, the ten-headed demon king of Lanka. Sunny Deol and Ravi Dubey are also a part of this film. ‘Ramayana’ will be a saga made in two parts, the first part of which will be released on Diwali 2026 and the second part on the next Diwali (2027).
