Sunny Deol’s ‘Border 2’ is one of the biggest Hindi films of this year. This war drama attracted a lot of attention of cinema fans all over India and also looted the box office hugely. Its two weeks of release were explosive, although now in the third week of its release, there is a slowdown in its earnings, but it is still printing crores of notes. How much did ‘Border 2’ collect on the 19th day?
‘Border 2’ is the sequel to the 1997 blockbuster JP Dutta directorial ‘Border’. Released in theaters on January 23, the film is set during the India-Pakistan war of 1971 and focuses on the courage of the Indian Army, Air Force and Navy. The makers again included the classic songs ‘Sandesh Aate Hain’ and ‘Ae Jaate Hue Lamhon’ in the film and they refreshed the old memories for the fans. Along with this, ‘Border 2’ also got a lot of audience in the theaters who praised the story of the film and the strong performance of the star cast. With this, the film has not only recovered its budget but is now earning profits.
Talking about the collection of ‘Border 2’, it did a business of Rs 224.25 crore in the first week and Rs 70.15 crore in the second week. The film added Rs 2.85 crore on the 15th day, Rs 5.25 crore on the 16th day, Rs 7.25 crore on the 17th day and Rs 2 crore on the 18th day.
- According to the early trend report of Saknilk, ‘Border 2’ has earned Rs 2.84 crore on the 19th day of its release i.e. third Tuesday.
- With this, the total earning of ‘Border 2’ in 19 days has now reached Rs 314.59 crore.
‘Border 2’ Now inches away from defeating ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’
There was a rise in the earnings of ‘Border 2’ again on the third Tuesday and it earned 2.84 crores whereas on Monday it had earned 2 crores. With this its total collection has reached Rs 314.59 crore. Interestingly, Border 2 is now just a few crores away from crossing the lifetime collection of 320.34 crores of Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan. It is expected that the film will achieve this feat by the third Thursday.
