The weather in Delhi-NCR has taken a turn in the second week of February itself. Signs of departure of winter and arrival of summer are clearly visible. After the strong winds stopped in the last 24 hours, the daytime sunlight is being felt more intense. The temperature in the capital and surrounding areas is continuously increasing and people are suffering from heat during the day. If the situation continues like this, people will start feeling the heat of April-May even before the end of February.

Wind speed decreased, sunshine became brighter

Rapid change in weather has been recorded in Delhi-NCR in the last few days. Till three days ago the winds were blowing at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour. After this, two days ago this speed reduced to 17 kilometers per hour. Now the situation is such that the winds have almost stopped. As soon as the winds stop, the heat of the sun has increased and people are finding it more hot to go out during the day. According to weather experts, the sun may become brighter in the coming days.

What is IMD’s estimate?

According to the latest data of India Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature of Delhi can reach 27 degrees Celsius by 15 February. The temperature is gradually increasing towards 30 degrees Celsius, which is considered above normal at this time. A continuous increase is also being recorded in the minimum temperature and it is likely to remain between 12 to 13 degrees Celsius. Although there is a slight coolness at night, but the harsh winter now seems to be ending completely. According to the Meteorological Department, the night temperature is also not likely to go below 10 degrees Celsius.

AC started in Delhi Metro, weather will remain clear

The effect of increasing heat during the day is now visible on public transport also. Air conditioners have been started in Delhi Metro for the convenience of passengers. People are clearly feeling the heat in the afternoon. The India Meteorological Department has predicted that the maximum temperature will reach 27 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. The minimum temperature can remain around 12 to 13 degrees Celsius. In the forecast till February 16, the maximum temperature is likely to be around 26 and the minimum temperature will be around 14 degrees Celsius. During this period the weather will be clear and sunny. Light clouds may be visible from time to time, but there is no forecast of rain or dense fog.

How will the weather be in future, fluctuations will increase

According to the Meteorological Department, there may be a slight increase in the temperature of both day and night in the next 24 hours. After this, there is a possibility of cold winds blowing from the north direction, due to which there will be some drop in the temperature. An active Western Disturbance will reach the hilly areas on 16 February. Due to its effect, there is a possibility of formation of cyclonic winds over Rajasthan.
