Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has presented the state budget 2026 today. Farmers have also been taken care of in this budget. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna has made many big announcements for the farmers in the budget, which will increase the income of the farmers. The Finance Minister said that the work done so far during the tenure of this government was also enumerated.

While presenting the budget in the UP Assembly, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that the World Bank-assisted U.P. Agri-export hubs will be established in the state under the Agri project. Its objective is to give agricultural products access to the international market and increase the income of farmers.

Gift for farmers in Yogi government’s budget

Finance Minister Suresh Khanna mentioned the farmers in the budget and enumerated the work done by his government. He said-

– During the tenure of our government so far, a record sugarcane price of more than Rs 3,04,321 crore has been paid.
This payment is Rs 90,802 crore more than the combined sugarcane price payment of Rs 2,13,519 crore in the previous 22 years.
– Sugarcane price rates have been increased by Rs 30 per quintal for the crushing season 2025-2026. With this increase, sugarcane farmers will receive additional sugarcane price payment of approximately Rs 3000 crore.
– In the Rabi marketing year 2025-2026, Rs 2,512 crore was paid while purchasing 10.27 lakh metric tonnes of wheat from farmers.
In the Kharif marketing year 2025-2026, more than Rs 9,710 crore was paid while purchasing 42.96 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from farmers.
– In the Kharif marketing year 2025-26, Rs 595 crore was paid to the farmers by purchasing 2.14 lakh metric tonnes of millet from 54,253 farmers.
– Free electricity supply is being provided to farmers for irrigation from tube wells from April 1, 2023.
– Under the short-term crop loan distribution in the year 2025-2026, 15 lakh 01 thousand farmers were benefited by distributing loans worth Rs 10,257 crore till 19 December 2025.
– Against the target of long-term loan distribution of Rs 600 crore in the year 2025-2026, 6,870 farmers were benefited by distributing loans worth Rs 205 crore till November 30, 2025.
Under the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme, compensation of Rs 5,110 crore was paid to about 62 lakh farmers from 2017-2018 to 2024-2025.
In the year 2025-2026, under Kharif, a compensation of Rs 215 crore has been paid to 2.69 lakh insured farmers till December 2025.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, an amount of approximately Rs 94,668 crore was transferred to the accounts of 3.12 crore farmers through DBT in the financial year 2025-2026 till the month of December, 2025.
