Deal information
Talking about the block deal, National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) has sold its entire stake in Ather Energy and exited the company. NIIF held 1.92 percent stake in the company. Not only foreign investors, but many domestic institutional investors have also shown interest in this transaction.
The list of buyers includes big names like ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Tata Mutual Fund, Invesco Mutual Fund, Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund, Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund and Tata AIG Life Insurance Company Limited. This clearly indicates that along with foreign institutional investors, domestic institutional investors are also interested in the company.
Improvement in quarterly results
The recently released third quarter data shows improvement in the financial position of Ather Energy. According to the data, the company’s loss has reduced to Rs 85 crore in the December quarter of the current financial year.
Whereas in the same quarter of the last financial year it was Rs 198 crore. During the same period, the total income of the company increased to Rs 996 crore, which was Rs 650 crore a year ago. The company has informed that the highest number of vehicles have been sold in this quarter. During this period the company has sold 67,851 vehicles.
Company’s condition in stock market
A decline was seen in the company shares on BSE on Wednesday, 11 February. The shares had slipped 1.53 per cent or Rs 11.15. The shares ended the day trading at Rs 715.65. Talking about the return figures, investors have gained 13 percent in the last one month and 8 percent in the last 3 months.
