Bihar Public Service Commission is going to release the notification for the fourth phase (TRE-4) teacher recruitment very soon. BPSC has received a requisition for reinstatement from the government. Last Wednesday (February 11, 2026), this information was given by issuing a letter from the Controller of Examinations of Bihar Public Service Commission.
The letter reads, “Bihar Public Service Commission, through the General Administration Department, is inviting appointment of school teachers of classes 1 to 5, 6 to 8, 9 to 10 and 11 to 12 under the Education Department and also school teachers and headmasters of classes 1 to 5, 6 to 10 and 11 to 12 under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department and classes 6 to 8 under the Backward Class, Most Backward Class Welfare Department. “Requisition has been received for appointment to the posts of school teacher and headmaster of classes 9 to 10, 11 to 12.”

How many posts will be recruited in which category?
If we talk about class wise posts, there are about 10,500 vacancies for classes 1 to 5, about 8,500 for classes 6 to 8, about 9000 for classes 9 to 10 and about 16,500 for classes 11-12. Some posts may move back and forth, but it is almost certain that only around 45 to 46 thousand posts will remain.
Recently, while issuing a statement to the media in the Bihar Assembly complex, Bihar Government Education Minister Sunil Kumar had said that a notification for recruitment will be released soon. The Education Minister had also appealed to the candidates not to agitate. Till now BPSC has reinstated teachers in three phases. Now preparations for the fourth phase have started. Advertisement is likely to be released in the first week of March.
