Shashank was not seen in such a role before

The makers believe that Shashank Vyas is perfect for their show. Not only this, the makers also say that Shashank Vyas has never played such a role before.
Shashank Vyas got the most recognition by playing the role of Jagiya in the serial Balika Vadhu. Shashank Vyas may be missing from the small screen, but he has been seen in web series like Citadel. A few years ago, in an interview given to Times of India, Shashank Vyas had talked about his break from TV.
He had said, ‘Whatever identity I have today is because of television, and it will always be there. Balika Vadhu is a cult show and Jagiya is a character that people will always remember. But, I am a creative person, so I like to keep experimenting. I had become very comfortable on TV.
The actor had further said that if I remain in the comfort zone, then I am making a mistake. This means that I am not giving myself the opportunity to move forward. Shashank told that even the technicians of Balika Vadhu used to ask him why he does not work in films.
