A diamond studded earring was stolen from the purse of Bharti Thakur, mother of BJP MLA Maithili Thakur. Along with this, thieves have also stolen a precious watch. This incident took place during a meeting organized in Lalapatti village of Ghanshyampur block of Darbhanga. The matter is of February 1st which has now come to light. Maithili Thakur’s mother also attended a program. During this time this incident happened with him.
According to the information, Bharti Thakur had left her purse in her car and had gone to attend the Lalpatti village meeting. When she returned after the program was over, her purse was found missing. Her valuables were in this purse. An FIR has been registered in Ghanshyampur police station regarding the incident. Also, the police has started investigating the matter. It is being seen whether there is CCTV around the meeting place, then investigation will be done in this case from the footage.
What was said in the application given to the police?
According to the application, this incident occurred on February 1. The time is said to be around seven in the evening. Maithili Thakur’s mother has written in her application that she had got down by car with her daughter (Maithili Thakur) for a public meeting in Lalpatti village. Her purse was in the car. The ear stud (diamond) and the watch were taken from the purse by some unknown person from the crowd. Even after a lot of research, nothing was found, which is a matter of concern.
On the basis of this application, a case has been registered in Ghanshyampur police station on 11 February. Case number is 54/26. Police has handed over the responsibility of investigation to ASI Ashwini Kumar. Regarding this incident, the police station chief said that the police is investigating. On the other hand, after the incident, various types of discussions are taking place in the area. Let us tell you that Maithili Thakur is the MLA from Alinagar seat. BJP gave her a ticket in the 2025 assembly elections and she won. She has become MLA for the first time. Now it remains to be seen how long will the police be able to reveal this incident that happened with the MLA’s mother.
