Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is going to start the 10th (Matriculation) board exam from Tuesday (February 17, 2026). Complete preparations have been made by the committee to conduct the malpractice-free examination. According to Bihar School Examination Board, more than 15.12 lakh candidates have registered for the examination this year, of which the number of girls is 7.85 lakh, while the number of boys is 7.26 lakh. This time the number of girl students is more than the boys. 1699 examination centers have been set up across the state.

Exam will be held in two shifts

This examination will be taken in two shifts. The first shift exam will run from 9.30 am to 12.45 pm and the second shift exam will run from 2 pm to 5.15 pm. For the first shift, candidates will be allowed to enter the examination center till 9 o’clock. According to BSEB, CCTV cameras have been installed at all the examination centres. Live monitoring arrangements have been made in many districts.

Immediate action will be taken on irregularities

The entire examination system will be monitored through the control room, due to which instructions have been given to take immediate action in case of any discrepancy or complaint. Any student is prohibited from entering the examination hall wearing an electronic watch, smart watch or magnetic watch.

At the time of admission, it will be checked that the candidates do not have anything other than valid admit card, pen, pencil and instrument box. Candidates will be searched at two levels. Instructions have been given to all the District Magistrates to take strict action against those who create obstacles in the examination.

Four model centers in every district

Magistrates and police forces will be deployed at all the examination centres, so that the atmosphere remains calm and transparent. Four ‘model centres’ have been prepared in each district, in which only girl students will participate. All the personnel deputed at the Model Center will also be women.
