India AI Impact Summit 2026 is being organized at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, in which all the top tech experts from the country and the world have come to participate. During this period, India has made a record in its name. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav announced that India has achieved the Guinness World Record for receiving the most pledges for the AI ​​Responsibility campaign in 24 hours.
According to the official statement, India has won this title by receiving a total of 2,50,946 valid resolutions in a period of 24 hours on 16-17 February 2026. The IT Ministry said that this nationwide AI Responsibility Pledge campaign was launched on February 16 in collaboration with Intel India under the India AI Mission, under which citizens were invited to take a pledge for ethical, inclusive and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence through the AIPledge.IndiaAI.Gov.in Portal.
Digital badges given to participants
According to IANS report, the judges of Guinness World Records have officially confirmed this record. Under this initiative, participants were inspired to consider important aspects like data privacy, accountability, transparency and tackling misinformation. Apart from this, participants who completed the pledge were given digital badges and access to AI learning pathway.
What did the Union Minister say?
Union Minister Vaishnav said, “This is the direction in which the country should move. Towards a future where AI is adopted responsibly.” He gave credit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inspiring the youth to use AI responsibly. He said that PM Modi inspired that AI should be used in the interest of society, so that this technology improves people’s lives and it is used responsibly.
Ashwini Vaishnav said that there has been a record breaking participation in this campaign, which is much more than the initial target of 5,000 resolutions. This reflects public awareness and engagement in adopting responsible AI. Heads of state, ministers, researchers and many industry representatives from many countries also participated in this AI summit.
