On Thursday, the ninth day of the budget session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, there was a fierce altercation between the party and the opposition in the House. During this period, a lot of statements were made from both the sides. Samajwadi Party MLA Shivpal Singh Yadav cornered the government on the issue of farmers and irrigation and raised the issue of lack of DAP.
While presenting his views in the UP Assembly, Agriculture Minister of UP Government Surya Pratap Shahi cornered the SP government by asking questions regarding the shortage of DAP. Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi surrounded. While comparing with the SP government, the Agriculture Minister said that our government has distributed 30 lakh tonnes more DAP than the SP government. Action was taken against the one who committed the wrongdoing. An FIR was also lodged against a company.
Shivpal Yadav angry at Agriculture Minister’s answer
The Agriculture Minister said that when the government was in power, the farmers did not get seeds and they were left to the mercy of God. Shivpal Singh got angry at his answer and expressed his objection by saying, “Have you brought the budget from your home?”
Shivpal said, “They are even saying that the budget has been increased so much, have you brought the budget to your home? There is public money in the budget. There are taxes. How much the state has been looted in GST. They keep praising it.”
Government cornered on farmers and irrigation issues
Shivpal Yadav also raised questions on Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh on the issue of irrigation in the House and asked for grants for agriculture, irrigation and urban development and asked whether you bring money from your home for the schemes?
Actually, Shivpal Yadav was discussing the proposal of reduction in the grant demands of Jal Shakti Department in the House. Shivpal Yadav said that I had called you and asked you to open the water in the canals but there was no water and when I called the officer, the work could be done. He also appealed to the minister to take strict action against the officers.
