The budget session of Bihar Legislature is going on. There has been a lot of debate these days between RJD MLC Sunil Singh and Minister Ashok Choudhary in the Legislative Council. Ashok Chaudhary had talked about insulting Dalits in one of his statements last Thursday. Today (Friday) RJD MLC Sunil Singh made a big attack on him. Retorting, he said that Ashok Chaudhary is not a Dalit because Dalits do not have billions of rupees.
Journalists questioned that Ashok Chaudhary says that you (Sunil Singh) are targeting him because he played a role in removing you from Biscomaan. In response to this, Sunil Singh said that what people were speculating in the market, he (Ashok Choudhary) himself has now told that he had given Rs 5 crore each from his house to break the three men. Everyone knows.
‘If you have become a professor, what will you teach?’
Sunil Singh said, “I was not contesting in the Biscomaan elections. I had served two terms, so I could not contest. When the Biscomaan elections were held, 11 people from my panel had won… six people from his panel had won, what is the status of him (Ashok Choudhary) that he will win or defeat. He had fraudulently brought his son-in-law as a representative from Muzaffarpur so that my son-in-law could become the president. These people used to work in a fraudulent manner. He became a professor by killing the rights of the Dalits, but will he teach how to create immense wealth through corruption?
‘Respect in my heart, but…’
Sunil Singh called Ashok Chaudhary his elder brother. Said that he is a senior minister, I have respect for him, but this kind of language (as Ashok Choudhary said in the House) is not right. The way he said in the House, he is not a Dalit from anywhere. Dalits do not have billions of rupees. Prashant Kishore had alleged with proof that he (Ashok Choudhary) had earned billions of rupees.
He further said, “We did matriculation in 1980, did B.Sc., M.Sc. You (Ashok) call us rural people, even today 80 percent of the people of Bihar live in villages. They say that we are uncultured. Brother, the village man who remains a village man will become as intelligent as you.”
