In the month of Ramzan, the issue of loudspeakers has once again arisen in Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur. After Hawamahal MLA Balmukund Acharya, another BJP MLA has raised the demand for shutting down the loudspeaker. Now Gopal Sharma, MLA from Civil Lines Assembly seat, has again sparked this controversy.
BJP MLA Gopal Sharma says that there is no mention of making noise by playing loudspeakers in religion. There is no need to make noise through loudspeakers. Due to stubbornness, people create noise by playing loudspeakers and disturb many people.
‘Be aware of yourself and give up your stubbornness’- Gopal Sharma
MLA Gopal Sharma believes that this causes problems for the children studying. Elderly and sick people also face problems. In such a situation, he says that people themselves should become aware of the noise of loudspeakers and give up their stubbornness. They should do such work which does not cause problems to other people.
‘In Hinduism there is noise only sometimes.’
The BJP MLA further said that people’s faith should be respected, but at the same time care should also be taken that other people do not have to face problems because of their faith. In Hindu religion, the noise made during religious activities occurs only for a few moments and occasionally.
Before MLA Gopal Sharma, BJP MLA Balmukund Acharya had raised this issue. He had raised his voice regarding the problems faced by people due to noise from loudspeakers during the entire month of Ramzan.
Congress expressed strong objection
On the other hand, Congress party has expressed a sharp reaction regarding this. MLA Rafiq Khan, Chief Whip of Congress in Rajasthan Assembly, targeted BJP regarding this. He has said that this is completely constitutional. Everyone has the right to work according to their worship method. Loudspeaker is played traditionally. This opposition is completely wrong. People with Manuwadi thinking say similar things. This is an attempt to target people of a particular community.
