Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to reach Israel shortly, where he will interact with the people of the Indian community and discuss important issues with the top leadership. This is his first visit to Israel since 2017 and his second visit overall. This visit is being seen as India’s growing role and strengthening diplomatic hold in West Asia.

In the last few years, PM Modi has presented India as a reliable and strong country in West Asia. Keeping in mind its national interests, India has given a new direction to its relations with the countries of the region.

Partnership with Israel reaches new heights

In the year 2017, PM Modi became the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Israel. That visit marked a new beginning in the relations between the two countries. Now India-Israel partnership has reached its best level ever.

Strong relations with Gulf and Arab countries

PM Modi has recently visited Jordan and Oman. Last year he visited Saudi Arabia. In January, a meeting of foreign ministers of Arab countries was held in Delhi. Recently the President of UAE also visited India, which was considered very important.

Maintained stance on fair policy and two-nation solution

India plays a balanced and impartial role in West Asia. Prime Minister Modi immediately condemned the terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. At the same time, India remains firm on its stand of two-nation solution on Israel-Palestine issue and has also sent humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Strategic Partnership and Respect

Many countries of West Asia have honored PM Modi with their highest civilian honour. India’s strategic partnership with many important Gulf countries has strengthened. A trade agreement has also been signed with Oman, which further strengthens economic relations.
