After the end of the T20 series against England, he reached the All England Club in London to enjoy the Men’s Singles final of Wimbledon 2026. In this match, Italy’s Jannik Sinner won the title for the second consecutive time by defeating Germany’s Alexander Zverev 6-7 (7), 7-6 (2), 6-3, 6-4. During this time, former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and opener Abhishek Sharma were also present along with Vaibhav. What did Vaibhav say on meeting Yuvraj Singh?
While talking to Star Sports, Vaibhav recalled his first meeting with Yuvraj Singh and said that he is his idol. He told, ‘When I met him for the first time, I felt very good. I talked to him a lot and he explained a lot to me. Now I am getting a chance to learn from him continuously and it will be very beneficial for me in the future.
Abhishek Sharma also seemed to agree with Vaibhav’s words. He said, ‘I can understand how Vaibhav is feeling, because Yuvi Paaji has been my idol too. When I met him for the first time, I too had the same feeling. This is the first Wimbledon for me too and watching the final with Yuvi Paaji is a very special experience.
