‘With the child who never came to us…’, Avimukteshwaranand said before the hearing on anticipatory bail

Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand is in the news because of the case of sexual exploitation of a minor. There is a hearing for anticipatory bail in this case on Friday (February 27). Before this, Shankaracharya had given a big statement. He said that it is not easy to associate our name with a child who never came to us.

Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand further said that why is the child with him? Why are the children in his possession? He further said that why the minor children remain in his custody? He raised questions on the UP Police and said why is the UP Police giving him a chance? From this it can be understood that the UP Police is giving him protection.

Hearing on anticipatory bail in POCSO case

The hearing on the anticipatory bail of Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati will be held in Allahabad High Court on Friday (27 February). A case was filed against Shankaracharya by two minor victims. In this case, the police have conducted medical examination of both of them. The police will present the medical report in the court.

Case was registered in Prayagraj

A case was registered against Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand, his disciple Mukundanand Brahmachari and two-three unknown people at Jhunsi police station in Prayagraj on 21st February. The case alleges that last year, Shankaracharya and other accused had sexually exploited two people, including a minor, in their Gurukul and at religious gatherings, including the recently concluded Magh Mela. This case was filed by Ashutosh Brahmachari against Shankaracharya.

Shankaracharya termed the allegations of sexual exploitation against him as baseless and said that during the Magh Mela, he remained in front of CCTV cameras and media cameras. He said that apart from this, the boys who have been accused of sexual exploitation never even entered his Gurukul.

After the case was registered, Shankaracharya filed a suit

Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati has said that he has also filed a case in the POCSO court against Ashutosh Brahmachari, who lodged the FIR against him. He said that there is a provision in Section 22 of the POCSO Act that if someone files a false case against you, then you can also file a case against him.
