In Bangladesh, Holi is called Dol Purnima or Dol Yatra. There too, Holika Dahan will be celebrated on the evening of 3rd March and festival of colors will be celebrated on 4th March. In Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka, special puja-kirtan and color offering programs take place in temples like ISKCON Dhaka and Dhakeshwari National Temple. Here devotees place the idols of Radha Krishna on swings, sing songs and offer gulal. Apart from this, Holi is also celebrated at the community level in cities like Chittagong and Sylhet of Bangladesh. It is said that in Pakistan and Bangladesh also, the date of Holi is decided on the basis of Phalgun Purnima. After sunset, the time of Holika Dahan is chosen considering the full moon date and Bhadra period.
