How to get the benefit of free cylinder in Delhi?
Delhi government has decided to provide direct financial assistance to eligible families on Holi. The government will not send free cylinders home, but will transfer the amount of Rs 853 directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. So that he can get the cylinder filled as per his need. A budget of about Rs 242 crore has been fixed for this scheme. It is estimated that about 17.5 lakh ration card holding families of the capital will get the benefit. At the same time, those houses which have pipeline gas connection will also be given financial assistance of Rs 853.
Who will not get the benefit in Delhi?
Only families with valid ration cards in Delhi will get the benefit of the government’s free cylinder scheme on Holi. Whereas in Uttar Pradesh, only the families associated with Ujjwala scheme will get free refill. Apart from this, tax payers, government employees and retired government employees will remain out of the scope of the scheme. Besides, to avail the benefits of the scheme, it is also necessary to link the bank account with Aadhaar.
Free refill to Ujjwala beneficiaries in Uttar Pradesh
On one hand, Delhi government is giving financial assistance of Rs 853 to the people for free cylinder on Holi. Whereas in Uttar Pradesh, the government has announced to provide free cylinder refill before Holi for the families associated with the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made it clear that this facility will be provided on both the occasions of Holi and Diwali. The people getting benefits under this scheme will first buy the cylinder and make the payment. After this the subsidy or the entire amount will be transferred to their bank account.
