A major fire incident came to light in the capital Delhi on Thursday (March 5) morning. A sudden fire broke out in the slums near Rithala Metro Station, causing chaos in the area. The fire was so intense that within no time many slums were engulfed by it.
According to the fire department, information about the fire was received at around 4:15 in the morning. As soon as the information was received, the fire department immediately swung into action and about 15 fire engines were dispatched to the spot. After reaching the spot, firemen started the work of extinguishing the fire.

Firemen had to put in a lot of effort to extinguish the fire. The fire spread rapidly due to inflammable materials in the slums and huts adjacent to each other. However, after several hours of hard work, the firefighters almost controlled the fire.
Most of the people were sleeping at the time of the incident, but seeing the flames the local people immediately came out. People nearby also helped in extinguishing the fire and taking people out safely.
No news of any casualties
It is a matter of relief that no casualties have been reported so far in this accident. However, due to the fire, the belongings of many families were completely burnt to ashes. Due to which there has been a loss of lakhs of rupees.
According to preliminary information, about 50 huts have been burnt to ashes in the fire that broke out near Rithala Metro Station. The cause of the fire has not been clearly known yet. The fire department and local administration have started investigating the matter.
At present the fire has been completely controlled and firefighters are monitoring the situation on the spot. Preparations are also being made by the administration to provide help to the affected people.
