Big news has come for the youth preparing for government jobs. SSC has currently postponed the SSC GD Constable Examination 2026 for Assam Rifles. Earlier this examination was scheduled to be held on 23 February 2026, but now it has been postponed. The Commission has said that the new date of the examination will be announced soon. Candidates have been advised to keep an eye on the official website of SSC so that information related to the new date can be received on time.
According to the commission, city intimation slip will also be issued about a week before the examination. This slip is very important for the candidates because it gives information about in which city their examination will be held. This makes it easier for candidates to plan their journey and book train or bus tickets as and when needed. This information is especially important for those students whose examination center is outside their city. City intimation slip can be downloaded from the official website of SSC.
so many posts to be filled
Under this recruitment drive, a large number of posts are to be filled in many paramilitary forces of the country. A total of 25,487 posts will be recruited. Among these, maximum number of posts are in CISF. 14,595 posts will be filled in CISF. Apart from this, there are 5,490 posts in CRPF, 1,764 posts in SSB, 1,293 posts in ITBP and 1,706 posts in Assam Rifles. There will be recruitment for 616 posts in BSF and 23 posts in SSF. The candidates selected on all these posts will perform their responsibilities in important tasks related to the security of the country.

Admit cards will come after the new date
Admit cards of the candidates will also be issued after the new date of examination is announced. Candidates can easily download their admit card from the official website of SSC. For this, first of all you have to go to ssc.nic.in website. After this you will have to click on the “Admit Card” section given on the home page. Then the candidate has to select his/her SSC regional website.
After clicking on the link of SSC GD Constable 2026 Admit Card, the candidate will have to enter his registration number or roll number and date of birth. After filling the information, the admit card will appear on the screen as soon as you press the submit button. Candidates can download it and take a clear print of it and keep it with them for the day of examination.
