IND VS NZ FINAL: Captain Suryakumar Yadav’s big statement after winning the T-20 World Cup title, said- ‘Bumrah is a national heritage and…’

After winning the third ICC T20 World Cup title on Sunday, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav called Jasprit Bumrah a ‘national treasure’ for his brilliant bowling, which can be considered the most appropriate metaphor for this charismatic fast bowler.

With the 96-run win against New Zealand, Suryakumar’s team became the first team to win consecutive World T20 titles in men’s cricket and also the first team to win the trophy on home soil.

Suryakumar said in the award distribution ceremony after the match, “Bumrah is a bowler who comes once in a generation. I can call them national treasures. He knows how to take wickets, he is the best player in this game. ”

Bumrah bowled brilliantly in the final, taking four wickets for 15 runs in four overs and played an important role in bowling out New Zealand for 159 runs.

Suryakumar said, “I think it will take some time, but I am definitely very happy.” It has been a long journey. It started after the 2024 World Cup. Jai Shah, Rohit bhai, they showed faith in me and gave me a chance to lead. It’s been a long journey from there and it’s nice to be here and get a win. ”

The captain praised his players who helped the team achieve unprecedented success. He said, “We have played good cricket in the last two years and we just wanted to follow the habits adopted in the 2024 World Cup. The boys accepted it very well. ”

Talking about maintaining faith in the players, the Mumbai player said, “I think it is very important to understand what they are capable of and I knew they had the ability to win matches. The timing was absolutely right. Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma are top players and we knew they would do something special, and they did that in the final. Samson (89) and Abhishek (52) added 92 runs in the powerplay and 98 runs for the first wicket.
