IPL 2026 Ticket Booking Details: The schedule of the 19th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been released. This edition is going to start from 28 March 2026. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the schedule of the first 20 matches of IPL 2026. The first match of this season will be between defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad. This match will be played at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. With the announcement of this schedule, fans are desperate to know when the sale of tickets will start and at what price.

Where will IPL 2026 tickets be booked?

At present, BCCI has not made any official announcement regarding ticket sales. However, a special section has been created for IPL tickets on Zomato’s District app, on which ‘Coming Soon’ is written. From this it is known that information about the start of ticket sales will be made available soon. At the same time, BookMyShow has started pre-sale registration for IPL 2026 tickets. The matches for which fans can currently register on BookMyShow include Gujarat Titans matches at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and Mumbai Indians matches at Wankhede Stadium.

How much can IPL 2026 tickets cost?

The price of tickets for IPL 2026 matches can range from Rs 500 to thousands. Tickets for Royal Challengers Bangalore’s home matches at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium start from around Rs 2300 to Rs 2800. Mid-range seats cost around Rs 3500 to Rs 7500 and premium seats (pavilion or terrace) cost around Rs 8000 to Rs 15000. If someone wants a luxury seat, the ticket price can be more than Rs 30,000.

Why is the IPL 2026 schedule coming in two different parts?

Keeping in mind the dates of assembly elections to be held in some states of India, BCCI has announced the schedule of only 20 matches of IPL 2026. The ongoing war in the Middle East has affected the travel of the players. There was a problem in the return of the West Indies team after the T20 World Cup in India, because many flights to that region were cancelled. An IPL official said, ‘We are monitoring the situation and it is a matter of concern. However, at present the situation is under control. No hotel, airline or related department has expressed any concern yet, but we are constantly keeping an eye on it.
