Pakistan Cricket Controversy: The 2026 T20 World was nothing special for the Pakistan cricket team. The team had reached the Super-8 stage, but could not qualify for the semi-finals. Now, just a few days after the end of the tournament, a new uproar came to light in Pakistan cricket, in which it was told that unfit players were given a place in the World Cup team. Babar Azam is also present in this list.

Last week, the team’s senior selector Aaqib Javed, while talking about the fitness of the players, had told the media that the board will investigate it. So let us know what the whole matter is.

Unfit players played World Cup

The matter escalated when Babar Azam refused to play the National T20 Championship and complained of a hamstring problem. Fakhar Zaman had also filed a similar complaint. According to media reports, UK physiotherapy expert Dr. Javed Mughal examined both the players after the T20 World Cup, after which he expressed concern that the players were not completely fit.

Investigation revealed that Babar’s injury was more serious than expected. Let us tell you that Dr. Javed Mughal has been associated with the medical panel of Pakistan Cricket Board since January this year.

How did unfit players get a chance?

The question arising is that when Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman were unfit, then how did both of them get a chance to play? According to reports, Pakistan team’s physio Cliff Deacon is accused of having a close relationship with the players, due to which he allows the players to play even after minor injuries by giving them fitness certificates. The thing to note is that at present nothing has been said by the Pakistan Board on this matter.
