There is panic in Pakistan because of the Indian Premier League. Actually, some of the players who were supposed to play in PSL have come to IPL. Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi is very upset about this. He has openly threatened the players going to IPL.
Earlier, Zimbabwe’s Blessing Muzarabani was to play for Islamabad United, but he has replaced Mustafizur Rahman in Kolkata Knight Riders. Now Sri Lankan cricket team captain Dasun Shanaka has become the second player who has left the PSL contract and joined the IPL. He will join Rajasthan Royals. Let us remind you that last season PCB had taken action against South African cricketer Corbin Bosch, who had joined Mumbai Indians.
Open threat from PCB Chairman
During a conversation with the media on Sunday, Mohsin Naqvi said, “As far as international players are concerned, see which players have come to play in the PSL this time. Yes, 2-3 players have left and we are preparing to take legal action against them.”
This time IPL and PSL are being organized at the same time. On the clash between the two leagues, Mohsin Naqvi said that the clash with IPL will not have much impact because the world is full of talented players. Despite IPL, many international players have come to play in PSL.
Mohsin Naqvi told that the matches of PSL 2026 will be played in empty grounds. He cited the ongoing war in the Middle East as the reason. PSL will start from 26th March and the final will be played on 3rd May. On the other hand, IPL 2026 is going to start from March 28, but BCCI has not yet released the complete schedule, hence the date of the final has not been revealed.
