Former Indian cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan has shocked the cricket world by making big revelations. At one time he was one of the emerging leg spin bowlers of India, but in his youth he found himself surrounded by controversies. Laxman Shivaramakrishnan made his debut for the Indian cricket team at the age of just 17. He told that his image had been tarnished due to continuous allegations. The situation had become so bad that despite being an international cricketer, it became difficult to even find a partner for marriage.

According to The Indian Express, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan told that people had started spreading wrong things about him. He told that when he was 16-19 years old, people had tagged his name as ‘drunkard’, even though he was not even an adult at that time.
He said, “I have never consumed drugs in my life. Later in life, I have definitely consumed beer, I do not refuse that. But imagine calling a 19-year-old boy an alcoholic.”
No one is ready to marry his daughter
Describing those memories, Shivaramakrishnan said that his parents even had to get an advertisement printed for his marriage. When he opened the post box after 2 weeks, there was not a single application in it.
The veteran cricketer said, “This meant that my image among the people had become so bad that no one wanted to get their daughter married to me.”
Sivaramakrishnan’s career
Laxman Sivaramakrishnan took 26 wickets in 9 test matches for the Indian cricket team. Apart from this, he also played 16 ODI matches for Team India, in which he took 15 wickets. In his first-class career of 76 matches, he took 154 wickets.
