Rinku Singh Government job: Indian cricketer Rinku Singh has got a government job. Two big pieces of good news have come together for Rinku, because recently Kolkata Knight Riders has appointed him as the vice-captain. Now he has been appointed to the post of Regional Sports Officer in Uttar Pradesh Government. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave him the appointment letter.
Apart from Rinku Singh, the UP government is also going to give government jobs to 6 other athletes, who have won medals for India at the international level. These include hockey player Rajkumar Pal, javelin throw athlete Ajit Singh, runner Simran and Paralympic gold medalist Praveen Kumar.

Regional Sports Officer is a second class Gazetted Officer. Their job is to promote sports activities in the state, maintain the grounds and find and nurture new talent.
How much salary will Rinku Singh take?
In Uttar Pradesh, a regional sports officer generally gets a salary of Rs 70-90 thousand. Rinku Singh will also get the same salary.
