Royal Challengers Bangalore has been jointly purchased by Aditya Birla Group, Bolt Ventures, The Times of India Group and Blackstone’s Perpetual Private Equity Strategy. After this deal of approximately Rs 16.660 crore, RCB became the most expensive team in IPL history. After this deal, the name of Ananya Birla is also in the headlines, who is the sister of new RCB chairman Aryaman Birla and daughter of Aditya Birla Group chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla. He has shared a story on Instagram, in which he has clarified that the name of the RCB franchise will not be changed.
Ever since the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise was sold, the question in the minds of the fans is whether the new owners will keep the name of the team new or make any changes in it? But Ananya, sister of RCB Chairman Aryaman Birla, has clarified that the name will remain the same as it was in the previous edition.
RCB name will not be changed
While sharing the story on Instagram, Ananya Birla clarified that the name of the RCB franchise will remain the same. He wrote, “RCB has been sold for Rs 16705 crore. Aditya Birla Group, a consortium of David Blitzer, Blackstone has bought RCB. The good news is that according to reports, Aditya Birla Group has confirmed that the name “Royal Challengers Bangalore” will remain the same.”

While making its official announcement, United Spirits Limited said that they have sold 100 percent stake of RCB, and this deal has been done in complete cash. He told that both men and women teams of RCB are included in this deal. Expressing happiness over this deal, RCB’s first owner Vijay Mallya also made a post.
Vijay Mallya wrote in his post that when he bought the RCB franchise for Rs 450 crore, people called it just a show-off deal and called him crazy. He also specifically took the name of Virat Kohli, who was bought by the franchise in the early stages of his career. Kohli has now joined the best players in the world, who will play for RCB in the upcoming season also.
