Ambati Rayudu Demand For Virat Kohli: The first match of IPL 2026 was played last Saturday (28 March) between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). In the match, RCB registered a one-sided victory by chasing more than 200 runs due to the strong innings of Virat Kohli.

In the run chase, Kohli scored 69* runs in 38 balls with the help of 5 fours and 5 sixes. Seeing this ‘great’ innings of Kohli, former batsman of Team India and Chennai Super Kings, Ambati Rayudu made a big demand and said that Kohli should return to the Indian team Test as captain.

What did Ambati Rayudu say?

Speaking on ESPN, Rayudu said, “I don’t feel at all that he is at the last stage of his career. There are still at least 5-6 years left. As we and Sanjay were talking – he (Virat Kohli) should return to Test cricket as a captain. He has been the best captain of red ball cricket, which I have seen in Indian cricket in the last few years. The way he is batting, it is a loss to Indian cricket.”

The target was bigger than 200, RCB chased it easily
