Mamata Banerjee gave hate speech against security forces: Poonawala
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala issued a statement on Monday (April 6, 2026) saying, ‘Now it has become completely clear that this is not TMC (Trinamool Congress), but BBC i.e. the inflammatory Bhaijaan Committee. First the violence against judicial officers in Malda and the attempt to take them hostage and now Mamata Banerjee is giving hate speech against the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). He told the people of Bengal that 200 CRPF trucks are coming to attack you.
He said, ‘Mamata Banerjee had earlier said that the security forces like CISF and CRPF coming to the state have to be attacked with utensils and household items. And this is not just once, many times in the past too statements have been made to incite attacks on constitutional institutions, legal institutions or security forces.
Attacks have happened many times before, provocative statements were made: Poonawala
Poonawala said, ‘Firad Hakim says that they will break the hands and legs of the Election Commission, Kalyan Banerjee says that they will cut off the fingers, someone says set them on fire, bury them in the ground. Apart from this, attacks on BLOs during SIR, attempts to spread misconceptions against the SIR process and giving provocative statements, this is why the judicial officers were attacked in Malda and now does Mamata Banerjee want the CRPF to be attacked as well?’
He said, ‘Even before this, ED, CBI, NIA and judicial officers have been attacked and now preparations are being made to attack the Central Forces. This is being done because Mamata Banerjee and Trinamool Congress are losing the elections in West Bengal, so keep instigating political violence in some way, keep challenging the constitutional institutions, keep insulting them, keep spreading animosity against them. This has become TMC’s BBC i.e. the inflammatory Bhaijaan Committee.
TMC has raised questions on army before also: Poonawala
BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala said, ‘The way the army is being targeted today. Even before this, TMC had raised questions on the Indian Army and security forces at the time of Pulwama and even today a conspiracy is being hatched to target our army personnel. The Supreme Court has reprimanded many times in the past regarding such things, but TMC is repeatedly trying to create a threat to the security forces, armed forces and constitutional institutions.
Rahul Gandhi also targeted
During this time, he also targeted Congress and opposition leader in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. Poonawala said, ‘What kind of constitutional love does Rahul Gandhi have that he has not been able to say a word on the attack on judicial officers in Malda and the incidents in RGKar? He has maintained silence even on statements attacking constitutional institutions and CRPF.
