PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme: Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme of the Central Government, a total of 22 installments have been given to the farmers so far. Under this scheme, an amount of Rs 6 thousand is provided annually to eligible farmers. Now the farmers are eyeing the 23rd installment, but now the government has made some changes in the rules.
For the 23rd installment, the government has made Farmer Registry i.e. Unique Farmer ID mandatory. This means that for farmers who do not have this ID, their 23rd installment may be delayed. Without Unique Farmer ID, farmers will no longer be able to avail the benefits of the scheme. This step has been made mandatory for farmers in many states. Through this ID, the government ensures that the money reaches the bank accounts of eligible farmers directly.
