David Miller Fixing: The 19th season of the Indian Premier League has been surrounded by discussions of ‘fixing’. IPL has come under criticism after Gujarat Titans’ thrilling one-run win over Delhi Capitals last Wednesday. Actually, Delhi had to score two runs on the last two balls to win and David Miller was in very good touch, but he did not score two runs on the last two balls. Regarding the 19th over, people have also claimed on social media that Miller had hit a six, but in reality he was given a four.

Discussion of fixing in IPL, six called four

There is a debate on social media regarding the first ball of the 19th over. Actually, Miller hit an aerial shot on that ball, which was declared a four by the third umpire. The claim being made is that it was a six and the ball landed directly on the ad cushion. People said that even the third umpire had hurriedly declared it a four after seeing the replays.

Debate on run out on the last ball

The last two balls have also become a topic of discussion on the internet. David Miller not scoring a single run on the fifth ball i.e. the most important moment of the match is also being linked to fixing. Apart from this, Kuldeep Yadav was run out on the last ball. A fan claimed that Kuldeep’s run out on the last ball should have been shown from a higher angle, that decision was also taken in haste. However, Kuldeep was far away from the white line and was actually out.

Cricket and especially the T20 format is full of uncertainties. David Miller’s mindset on the fifth ball must have been that the match should not go to the Super Over and he should make Delhi win by hitting a big shot on the last ball. But things went against their expectations and Delhi lost the match by one run.
