These days the weather is fluctuating in Uttar Pradesh. At different places in the state, there are storms and rains and at other places the sun is shining. On Wednesday also, movement of clouds was seen in the districts of Purvanchal including Prayagraj and Varanasi. The Meteorological Department has predicted seven light to moderate rains and thundershowers in 40 districts including Lucknow today on May 7. There has also been a warning of strong winds blowing at a speed of 50 km in these districts.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain will be seen in both the western and eastern divisions of UP today. However, now this trend is becoming lighter. Today, the movement of clouds will continue in many districts including Mathura-Agra, Lucknow, Varanasi and Gorakhpur. At some places, an alert has been given for rain along with thunder and lightning.

There will be sunshine with light clouds in the capital Lucknow from this morning. There will be light drizzle at some places. The weather will clear after noon and the sun will shine. The weather is expected to remain like this till evening. The maximum temperature in Lucknow today can remain up to 34 degrees Celsius. The sky is completely clear in Noida-Greater Noida and Ghaziabad since this morning. The sun will come out as the day progresses. There is no chance of rain here today.
Chances of thunderstorm and rain in these districts
In Uttar Pradesh today, there is intensity in Lucknow, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Bahraich, Barabanki, Shravasti, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etah, Etawah, Auraiya, Kasganj, Sambhal, Amroha, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur. There are chances of light rain and drizzle at some places along with thunderstorm.
Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain at isolated places along with lightning in Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Deoria, Gonda, Basti, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh, Mau, Ghazipur, Chandauli and Sonbhadra of Eastern UP today. There has been a warning of gusty winds blowing at a speed of 40-50 km in these districts.

There will be a change in the weather from Friday 8th May and the weather will be dry in both the divisions. After which the temperature will start increasing again. There is a possibility of a gradual increase of 8-10 degrees in the maximum temperature in the state in the next seven days. After the rainy season is over, the sun will show its effect and once people may have to face the scorching and scorching heat.
